Summer Camps on (or very near) the Water

  • Lee SUP: Offering Stand-Up Paddle board (aka SUP), kayak and hybrid (mix of both SUP + Kayak) camps this summer in July and August fit for campers ages 8 - 14 year olds.

  • GH Canoe & Kayak Racing Team (GHCKRT): Camps for 8-9 year olds, 10-13 year olds as well as free adult sprint canoe sessions. GHCKRT Camps provide opportunities for kids to explore canoe and kayak paddling in a safe and fun environment where they will receive personal instruction from America's best coaches and paddlers!

  • GH Boatshop:  BoatShop camps emphasize hands-on learning in a fun, maritime setting on Gig Harbor's working waterfront - check out camp options for teens, middle school, elementary and even 4 year olds!

  • GHYC Junior Sail: Summer Sail Camp is a fun filled week of building confidence, learning new skills, and making memories - the perfect way to practice boating safety while having great fun. Ages 6 - 18 years old are eligible to participate.

  • Stitch-o-Roo & Art, too: Crafting, stitching, cooking, tinkering and even beach exploring in partnership with Harbor Wild Watch, you'll want to spend some time looking into all the unique camps offered for kids aged 7 and up.

  • Snapology Classroom: Morning and afternoon camps hosted June through August - a perfect combination of fun and STEM learning for kids.

  • AR Workshop: hosting summer art camp from late June through early August, with a different set of projects and theme each week. Morning and afternoon sessions and sibling discounts are available. It’s a great way to keep kids engaged and entertained all summer long!



 

Ebb Tide Gallery turns 40!



You are cordially invited to join in the celebration at Ebb Tide Gallery on Sunday, May 5th from 12p - 5p! For 40 years, dedicated artists have enriched the lives of art lovers in the Gig Harbor Peninsula with their creative and original works of fine art, including paintings, printmaking, photography, pottery, woodworking, and art-related gifts. Come together with Ebb Tide's vibrant community of art enthusiasts to honor the legacy of the gallery and its enduring commitment to fostering creativity and connection.

To commemorate the milestone, Ebb Tide has unveiled a new logo - seen above.



 

Cover Art Contest deadline approaching



There are just a few days for young artists to put their finishing touches on Coloring the History of Gig Harbor Coloring Book Cover Art entries!


  • Youth applicants in grades K-12 are eligible to apply and one lucky winner will have their artwork printed on 4,000 copies of this free book and distributed throughout the community!

  • All submissions must be received by May 1st 2024.
