Download the App: Download the free Open Rewards app from the App Store or Google Play.

Shop & Dine: Spend money at any participating waterfront merchant (including local favorites like Tides Tavern, Java & Clay Café, Brix 25, and dozens of boutique retail shops).

Earn Points Instantly: Points track automatically if you link your credit/debit card to the secure app, OR you can simply snap a quick photo of your physical receipt within the app. The technology does the rest!

Open Rewards uses bank-grade, secure, encrypted tokenization (the same technology used by major apps like Acorns or Venmo) to securely track transactions without ever storing your actual card numbers. If you prefer not to link a card, you can still participate entirely by taking photos of your physical paper receipts in the app.

A: You earn points at any of the 90+ pre-loaded independent merchants and organizations located within the historic waterfront district. This includes retail boutiques, service providers, galleries, restaurants.

Q: How do I claim my 24-hour early-bird event access once I hit the point threshold?

A: When you reach the required point milestone, you’ll be officially added to our Insider priority list. One week before tickets go on sale to the general public for a major event (like Chowderfest, Sip & Stroll, or a Swig the Gig installment), you will receive an exclusive email invitation. This invite allows you to purchase up to two (2) tickets early. Please note that your early-bird transaction must be completed at least 24 hours prior to the general public ticket release, as the window will close tightly before general sales open!
