HOLIDAY VILLAGE AT DONKEY CREEK PARK

In collaboration with Visit Gig Harbor, the Gig Harbor Waterfront Alliance is excited to announce the return of Holiday Village at Donkey Creek Park. Holiday Village will be open from Dec 7th - Dec 28th during park hours and is free and open to the public. Grab your camera and snap photos in one of six holiday-themed photo displays. You may just find your next holiday greeting card photo!

COOKIES & COCOA  AT THE CITY TREE LIGHTING

The annual city tree lighting will be a fun and festive holiday event again this year! With live music, festivities and a special appearance from Santa himself. This is a Gig Harbor tradition you and your family won't want to miss! Complimentary cookies & cocoa will be provided by the Gig Harbor Waterfront Alliance, sponsored by Paige Schulte & Co | Neighborhood Experts - Real Estate.

GNOME HUNT | DEC 1-31

Enjoy this 2nd Annual Event for the whole family! Find at least 15 gnomes hidden in and around businesses in the waterfront district and be entered to win a $100 gift card to a waterfront business of your choice!

FREE PHOTOS WITH SANTA 

Enjoy free photos with Santa at Holiday Village at Donkey Creek Park. This event is open to the public rain or shine. Be sure to bring your own device for photos, rain boots and dress warmly! Thank you to our Santa Photo sponsor, BBQ2U. Complimentary cocoa, cider + treats will be available thanks to The Old Cannery Furniture Warehouse and B's Bagels. Well behaved pets are welcome too!

SANTA'S BOATSHOP

On December 14th & 15th 2024, grab your kiddos and head down to the Gig Harbor Boat Shop for their annual Santa's Boat Shop where kids of all ages can build and paint a wooden-toy version of a classic Gig Harbor workboat! Please plan approximately one hour to build and paint your boat. Ages 3 and up. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Cost is $25 per child or $20 for GHBS members. 

Lighted Car Parade

LIGHTED CAR PARADE 

On December 21st 2024, grab your favorite spot along Harborview Drive in the waterfront district and save your seat for the 5th Annual Lighted Car Parade. The parade leaves Uptown around 5pm and goes through the downtown waterfront district. It’s a sight to see and fun for the entire family.

HISTORY MUSEUM HOLIDAY MARKET

Come and shop at the Museum's first annual Holiday Market! Each vendor booth is thoughtfully curated, featuring a wide range of unique, artisanal products. You can find handcrafted goods such as beeswax products, holiday greens, beautiful, beaded jewelry, artwork, and more! Local artisans, small businesses, and independent creators will showcase their wares. There will also be several photo ops throughout the museum for fun family holiday pictures. Admission is $5 for non-members and free for members.

December 14th, 10am-5pm & December 15th 2024, 11am-3pm.

Lighted Boat Parade

LIGHTED BOAT PARADE 

On December 14th 2024, head down to the waterfront and enjoy this Gig Harbor tradition put on by the Gig Harbor Yacht Club. The Parade begins around 5pm and there are several great viewing locations like Skansie Brothers Park, Jerisich Dock, Ancich Waterfront Park, and the Bogue Viewing Platform. Be sure to grab dinner reservations for your family at one of our amazing waterfront district restaurants!
